My “5 Minute Pitch” Journey

The life of an entrepreneur is one of faith, hard work, and believing in your product. When I started my journey as the creator of Click & Carry, I had a belief in my product as well as the knowledge that Click & Carry was useful, universal, and under patent protection. Instead of worrying about naysayers, I focused on how to make the Click & Carry handle a better quality product that could help all people with their everyday errands. Whether you’re a working mother shopping for groceries, a handyman who needs help carrying paint cans, or a snowboarder who needs help carrying his snowboots to the top of the slopes, Click & Carry is there for you. Oh, and did we mention how amazing Click & Carry is for canines?

When I first applied to the “5 Minute Pitch,” I was hopeful that I would be able to receive the mentorship from the judges including Scott Voelker, Steve Chou, Greg Mercer, and Michael Jackness because all of us entrepreneurs need guidance and advice. I was beyond thrilled when I found out that “Click & Carry” made the Final Four in the contest.

On my way to the Final Four competition for “5 Minute Pitch,” I did some deep thinking about the strengths and weaknesses of my product and wondered what it would be like to move forward with the mentorship of the judges including Steve Chou, Greg Mercer, Scott Voelker and Michael Jackness.

I won. I was just so grateful and in shock at this amazing opportunity that I’ve been given. Thank you so much to everyone at “5 Minute Pitch” for giving this entrepreneur a chance to take Click & Carry to the next level. Also, to all the entrepreneurs out there who feel discouraged during the ebbs and flows of getting your product out to market, keep your chin up, keep grinding, and make your product distinct in the marketplace. And you will thrive.

Meet the Newest Click & Carry Ambassadors!

Maximize Your Grocery Shopping with Click & Carry!

We all do it. It’s a weekly thing. Or maybe a daily thing if you have a big family or if your roommates always eat your food. Whether you order your groceries online or still go to the store for your weekly food stash, you still have to carry your groceries to your apartment or the house. Here are some ways that a Click & Carry can make your grocery shopping and weekly errands just a bit easier:

CARRY GROCERIES
Nobody wants to lug all those cartons of almond milk and ground turkey from the cart to the car and then to your house. Why not make it a little easier on yourself and use a Click & Carry which can hold up to eighty pounds. Yep. Eighty Pounds. No more worrying about hurting your wrists or fingers while lifting heavy bags. Instead, you can just put the grocery bag handles into the Click & Carry grooves and off you go!

CLICK YOUR BAG TO THE CART
Ladies and gents, if you carry a purse/murse to the store, you want to be able to make sure that it’s protected while you wander around the aisles. With the Click & Carry, you just need to click your purse/murse into place to the cart, and the contents of your bag are now safe and protected.

CARRY THAT WINE STASH
Whether it’s the middle of the week or you’re saying #TGIF, we all love a little happy hour action after a stressful day of school or work. With Click & Carry, all you need is a bag and you can carry up to 24 bottles of wine or liquor. YES! 24 bottles! If you don’t believe us, check out the video below.

DONATION CENTRAL
Here at Click & Carry, we love to give back and help those who may need a helping hand. That’s why we love giving Click & Carry handles to organizations like Canine Companions for Independence, a US-based 501 organization that trains and provides assistance dogs. As of April 2017, it has sponsored and trained over 5,000 dogs to help people with disabilities at no charge to the recipient.

Our main goal at Click & Carry is to help make people’s lives just a little bit easier. Each Click & Carry is simple, easy to use, and fulfills a consistent need. Grab your very own Click & Carry HERE or on Amazon Prime!

How to Start a Business

As the creator of Click & Carry, Kim Meckwood is one of the many small business owners who are the backbone of America’s economy. She came up with the Click & Carry when she was lugging her groceries up several flights of stairs and knew that there had to be an easier way. And so, Click & Carry was born. It’s the first handle with comfortable gel padding that you can use to carry bags with your hands and also throw it over your shoulder for a hands-free carry. Did we mention its various multipurpose use from carrying groceries to sports gear?

Here are a few tips on how you can use a fresh idea to create a business of your own:

Fill a Need in the Marketplace– Kim saw a need for a simple cost-effective device that would allow you to carry bags without hurting your wrists or arms. Instead of being a damsel in distress, Kim saw an opportunity to create Click & Carry so that she could multi-task in a quick and easy fashion.

Love What You Do– Kim has mentioned before that she wanted to be her own boss after years of working for other companies. When you have a clear vision of your product and what you want to achieve in your company, it’s easy to do what you love. This doesn’t mean that things will always be easy, but being a true entrepreneur means that you take the roadblocks that come your way and continue to move forward. Persistence is the name of the game.

Get the Word Out– Being about to talk about your product wherever you go is a key aspect of being an entrepreneur. You need to not only use traditional media methods like television or web advertising, but also be active on social media to reach customers that now aggregate on those networks. Kim is a seasoned pro with such media appearances including spots on QVC’s In the Kitchen with David, Bethenny, I Want That, and Food Fortunes.

Help Others– Kim is the kind of person who will drop everything to help her friends and co-workers. This is also a reason why Kim loves to donate Click & Carry handles to Canine Companion, a non-profit organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs at no charge to the recipient. How do these dogs use their Click & Carry handles? Click on the video below to see:

With Click & Carry handles on Amazon Prime, as well as Kim being a contender for the 5 Minute Pitch challenge, Kim is seeing her efforts to bring Click & Carry to the next level come to fruition. Onward and Upwards!

Click & Carry Moving On to Deliberation Round on @5MinutePitch!

Click & Carry was created from a place of necessity, but also a place where I wanted to create a self-sustaining business where I would be my own boss. After years working for various companies, I had reached a point personally and professionally where I wanted to take the leap. And Click & Carry was born.

Starting a business is not an easy task, but I truly believed in my product and it was gratifying to see how quickly Click & Carry took off. We were featured on QVC where it sold out quickly as well as being featured on various network tv talk shows. But without the capital to really grow my business, Click & Carry’s growth slowed down as well.

But I never gave on Click & Carry. We’ve kept our business moving forward and now sell on Amazon Prime, as well recently pitching Click & Carry to various successful entrepreneurs on ‘5 Minute Pitch,’ for the chance to win $50,000 to kick-start my business. Last week, my episode aired and I’m happy to report that Click & Carry will be moving onto the deliberation round!

The lesson is…when you truly believe in your dream, don’t ever give up.
The team here at Click & Carry is so excited to see where our product will go. Thank you to @5Minutepitch and to everyone who has support us!

A Multitasking Workout with Click & Carry

Click & Carry was created to help people with their daily errands including grocery shopping, carrying sports equipment, and even carrying weekly dry cleaning. But who doesn’t love multi-tasking? And yes, I mean you can get a quick workout while doing your weekly errands.

Check out our quick interview with Delvon Flowers, a popular OrangeTheory Fitness Coach and all-around amazing person, who demonstrates various exercises such as arm curls and front raises, that you can complete while running errands.

So next time you’re in a long line at the grocery store, feel free to do some lateral arm raises or perhaps a few arm curls. #Multitasking

You can carry up to 80 pounds with each Click & Carry handle, and that means that you can do a pretty hard-core lifting workout while carrying your groceries, sports equipment or even hardware. Did we mention wine? Lots of wine.

These amazing handles are available on Amazon Prime or on our website.
Why not give them a lift?

Tidying Up with Click & Carry

You may have heard of that famous Japanese woman who implores you to organize and declutter your home and only keep items that spark joy. Yes, if you haven’t heard of Marie Kondo or watched her new Netflix show featuring her KonMari method of decluttering, you may want to take a few hours of your day and chill…while Netflixing, of course.

But organizing your life shouldn’t just be restricted to your home, but also your office, school, and even your car. And yes, even how you store all of your reusable bags. Here are some tips from the show that can be used while you’re doing basic errands throughout your busy day.

Keep it Simple
The beauty of the Click & Carry is that it is a handy, small device that allows you to declutter all the many bags that you’re carrying. All you need to do is place your bags inside the easy-to-grip Click & Carry handle, twist, and click. You don’t have to worry about hurting your wrists or fingers, but instead you now have a quick and easy way to carry your bags. Easy peasy.

Reusable Ain’t a Dirty Word
Say it with me now. Recycling is NOT a bad word. Reusable is NOT a bad word. When you grocery shop, why not invest a few extra dollars in reusable bags which are not only good for the environment, but allow you to save a couple extra cents when you buy your groceries. Click & Carry works both for regular and reusable bags, but the reusable option is WAY better, we think.

Less is More
The KonMari Method emphasizes only keeping the items that spark joy in your life. If you don’t feel anything, why are you keeping it? This makes total sense whether you’re cleaning your apartment or organizing your car. And it definitely makes sense when you’re going shopping for necessary items.

Gadgets are King. Like Click & Carry.
Marie Kondo loves boxes and compartments. So do we. We’re a huge fan of using useful items to organize our lives. That’s why we believe in Click & Carry so much. It’s the first product to make carrying groceries, sports equipment, and even paint cans…a breeze.

How Click & Carry Helps Pets Be Their Best Self

We adore animals here at Click & Carry. We love to snuggle, cuddle, and play with animals especially when they carry items with their Click & Carry handles. Our handles give these pets the ability to help out with grocery shopping, helping to donate to the Salvation Army, or just carrying their favorite beach toys. Here are some ways that your pets can use Click & Carry in everyday activities.

AT THE BEACH

Yes. When your dog carries his beach bag with an @clickandcarry while looking for THAT perfect beach spot, all you want to do is be his videographer.

CARRYING GROCERIES
Sometimes you just need an extra helper to help you with errands and grocery shopping. We adore Kole who likes to take charge while helping out with daily activities.

AS A HOLIDAY HELPER
When you’re super stressed from all that holiday shopping, wrapping, and traveling, there’s nothing like an adorable canine to help you. Or be like Kole here who uses his carrying skills to help donate to the Salvation Army.

CANINE COMPANIONS
We’re proud sponsors of Canine Companions, a non-profit organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to ensure quality partnerships.
